Principle accountabilities:
To manage and supervise the smooth running of the day to day operation at your respective airport To ensure staff are adequately recruited, trained, motivated and communicated with to deliver an uninterrupted level of service to our customers in a safe and effective manner. Monitor and assess performance against set standards and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken. Daily review of operational performance, sales productivity, structure and staffing levels to ensure excellent service delivery To establish, maintain and develop professional and productive commercial relationships with Airline customers, Airport Authorities and other relevant internal and external bodies to ensure that the right environment exists to enable business targets to be met. To ensure regular customer contact locally ensuring all issues are dealt with in a proactive and positive approach To develop, contribute to, agree, implement and monitor financial and operational plans to ensure service levels are delivered and financial business targets are met and exceeded. Deliver and exceed budget contribution targets To ensure that you deal with, in a timely manner, all aspects of Recruitment, Health and Safety, Training, Performance Management and all Company Policies including Grievance, Disciplinary and Equal Opportunities to ensure that the needs of the business are met, seeking support from the respective senior management team where necessary. To play a proactive part in meeting the Company Business objectives To ensure that we are fully compliant with the relevant statutory, regulatory and Company policy requirements placed upon the Operational Unit. To share best practice and to continually review and advise upon developments in the business environment relevant to the Airport. To comply with all reporting requirements with regard to financial performance and the Company’s Quality Management System. Ensure relevant administration duties required daily, weekly, monthly as completed according to procedures. Manage, monitor and assist with weekly cash collections ensuring they are completed safetly and accurately. To ensure compliance to relevant ISO Quality standards To comply with all requirements of security and the Company’s Security Management System To ensure payroll is managed and completed accurately ensuring accurate payments are processed. To ensure your direct manager is informed of all business critical issues at all times such that quality, safety and financial performance is understood by the senior management at all times. Any other duties as may be requested from time to time in order to meet the operational needs of the business.
Skills and qualification requirements:
Good demonstrable level of people management skills including leadership, resource management, negotiating, employee relations and communication
A minimum of 3 years management experience gained in either Cleaning, Aviation, Ground Handling or similar industry Experience of managing a multi – disciplined team within a customer focused environment Good working knowledge of statutory and procedural obligations including health and safety, environment, employment and security issues. Ability to understand, prepare and manage station cost and revenue budgets Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative Full Clean Driving licence Good working knowledge of IT encompassing but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. The individual for this role should have good communication skills and the ability to deal with customers and staff in a positive and motivational manner. They will need the ability to react quickly to given situations, using innovative, creative solutions and be prepared and willing to operate with a hand on approach as the business demands.
You will be part of a team providing a high standard level of service and support to our clients to meet the customer’s contract needs while abiding by the relevant airports airside safety laws and our companies policies and procedures. Health and Safety, Ramp Awareness, Training and Operational Excellence will place a key part in this role. This role is dependent upon the successful candidate being able to obtain and hold a full airside pass.
